I don't know how, as all the buses in the SBG and City companies all took the same fleet!

Y, T< P< lions, leopards alisa, city buses, B10,

I know, but i followed the buses i grew up with - Trans Clyde / Strathclyde / Central / Kelvin / Midland / Clydeside / Western etc

Only time i saw a 'foreign bus' from the East was on a car trip etc.

Same types, but different colours.

Give me a Strathclyde Atlantean over an Lothian one for example.

Or a Central Leopard over an Eastern one!

Just a pity almost everything is First or Stagecoach corporate now and we lost all those colourful vehicles in service. :(

Anyway i'm rambling on now. Must be bedtime!

M765PRS was originally ordered by Stagecoach Glasgow as it's number 065. Now if memory serves me right without having to resort to my bits of paper and old books:

It was transferred to SBL Holdings after Stagecoach were forced to sell their share in SBL at the time. In the run up, it ran "On Hire" to Strathclyde Buses for a very short before being transferred fully into SBL Holding ownership and subsequently moved to the KCB Network operation.

Would have loved to have seen these in Strathclyde's Buses Livery :-)

But yes, M765PRS was the first PS Type SV.

The PS's are starting to go.

61383, M778PRS arrives at Dunsmores: http://kennybarclay.fotopic.net/p62392943.html

61385, M780PRS next for the chop! http://kennybarclay.fotopic.net/p62392942.html

Shame that. I really liked First's B10M's since quite a few had coaches seats or tinted windows or some other wee quirk. Plus I still like the body layout. Does anyone know what happened to that L and M reg SS's that were kicking about for ages? Used ot be on the 38 but i haven't seen them about.

yeah noticed stagecoach still had a good few,

even tho they buses aren't low floor they are reliable.

well i think they are anyway,

never seen one broke down yet.

always seems to be the "Wright Renown" that breaks down

Then afterwards, Strathclyde extended the 18 from Burnside to East Kilbride and the 34 from Govan to East Kilbride.

Central ran the 181 in competition with the 34, which was basically the same route to Govan, then through the tunnel, along Dumbarton Rd, up Byres Road and ended up in Summerston. It used Ailsa's which carried little more than fresh air most of the time, it didn't last very long.
